Organization of cognitive associative systems (OCAS) – A hi-tech
start-up operating in the fields of neural network technologies and artificial intelligence. OCAS are also one of the participants involved in the creation of the innovation center "Skolkovo".
OCAS Mission Statement
We present a new class of strategic information technology - artificial cognitive systems which are capable of solving problems in the real world, including pattern recognition, training, communication with users in their native language, obtaining knowledge from various sources, drawing logical conclusions and providing a subjective assessment of the information gathered. OCAS has developed unique neural network structures that mirror and implement the workings of the cortical columns of the human cerebral cortex, as well as cybergenic technologies - algorithms which manage the growth and development of artificial neural networks.

Work begins on the development of biomorphic neural network architectures.

July 2003
V. Filippov is appointed Head of the Laboratory of Neurosystems at the Research Institute of Intellectual Information Systems in Tyumen State University.

February 2005
A neuron model with multiphase memory trace formation was developed.

October 2007
Corticomorphic neural network technology is developed.

July 2012
The first Russian titanium dioxide-based memristors are obtained.

December 2013
Awarded the title of Center for Breakthrough Research by the Russian Ministries of Education and Science and of Communications and Mass Media.

August 2014
OCAS is established in association with the nanotechnology center "T-Nano"- a subsidiary of "RUSNANO" and "T-Platforms", a Russian manufacturer of supercomputers.

January 2015
V.A. Filippov becomes the deputy head of the Task Force for the Development of Neurotechnology under the National Technology Initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science.

October 2016
The "T-Nano" center relinquish their registered stake in OCAS, reporting a return on investment of 47% per annum.

The OCAS team step out from under the umbrella of Tyumen State University and now operate autonomously.

January 2017
OCAS Cortiphica, an integrated development environment for neural networks, is created.

August 2017
OCAS is awarded the innovation promotion fund in the "Development of STI" contest.

November 2017
The first site utilising the OCAS question-response system is launched.

February 2018
With the backing of the Tyumen Regional Government, OCAS acquires graphic supercomputers to aid in solving the problems of developing neural networks and supporting their intricate learning processes.

March 2018
Neural network pattern recognition systems are created.

May 2018
Interactive systems based on deep learning are developed in both English and Kazakh.

June 2018
The first commercial project including the creation and implementation of its interactive system is completed by OCAS.

September 2018
A technology is developed to execute commands given in the users native language.
